Qeema Cholay(Chickpeas with minced Chicken):

Chickpeas give the great health benefits.it is rich in fibre, protein, high iron content, lowers LDL cholesterol etc is definitely a healthy option.Chickpeas is used commonly in Indian and Middle Eastern dishes.

Ingredients For Qeema Cholay:

  • Mince ½ kg
  • Tomato (cubes) 2
  • Lemons 4
  • Red Chili Powder 1 tbsp
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Chopped Green Chilies 6
  • Soda Bi Carbonate a pinch
  • Chopped Mint Leaves a bunch
  • Chopped Green Coriander 1 bunch
  • Chick Peas 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Lentil ½ cup
  • Tamarind Paste ½ cup
  • Crushed Black Pepper 1 tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Roasted Cumin Powder 1 tbsp
  • Crushed Ginger 2 tbsp





Method Of Making Qeema Cholay:

  1. First of all Boil chickpeas and lentil together.
  2. Then Add in a soda bi carbonate till the chickpeas soften.
  3.  In a pan, add in mince, ginger, garlic paste, turmeric, salt, tomatoes and red chili.
  4. When the mince dries add in 1 cup oil and lemon juice. Cook it on a low flame.
  5.  Once boiled, add in tamarind paste,1 tbsp cumin, black pepper.
  6.  Cook it for 5 mins. Add in chopped mint Leaves, ginger, chopped green chiles and lemon juice. Simmer for 2 mins.
  7. Qeema Cholay are ready.serve with nan.
